Partisan gerrymandering corrupts our democracy. It allows elected officials to pick their voters, not the other way around. It also disenfranchises underrepresented and underserved communities, particularly communities of color that have traditionally faced barriers to voting.

Republicans are working overtime to dismantle our democracy. Legislation designed to address partisan gerrymandering, such as the For the People Act and the Freedom to Vote Act, have been filibustered and ultimately failed to pass. Far-right politicians have enabled judicial extremists to interpret the Constitution as they see fit.

We can’t let this continue. Sign the petition: Tell Congress to ban partisan gerrymandering.

We can build a better democracy for every American. But to do that, we need to take action against attempts to rig the system against the will of voters. From banning PAC and lobbyist spending to outlawing the practice of partisan gerrymandering, we need to take a stand in favor of bold anti-corruption reform.
