Because we Have an Outstanding Candidate in CA3!

I know it’s been a while, but I save this list for the most important communications and I have big news today!

Jessica Morse has announced her candidacy to flip CA3, the 2020 redistricted Sierra Nevada district, blue. If you’re in a hurry and don't have time to read on, you know what to do. Please go to [link removed] and chip in now!

Jessica is the right candidate for our rapidly-changing district at the right time: In-depth research with voters in CA3 shows that our district needs a bona-fide steward of the Sierra who is a strong advocate for reproductive freedom, and Jessica is both. Jessica was appointed Deputy Secretary for Forest and Wildland Resilience at the California Natural Resources Agency in 2019. Last year, she was appointed to the U.S. Wildland Fire Mitigation and Management Commission. Having a wildfire expert representing the Sierra Nevada in Congress would have a profound effect on the future of this region.

I cannot tell you how excited I am! As you know, a coalition of committed Sierrans has been working to flip the Sierra Blue since 2017, and we’ve made steady progress toward that goal. This is the cycle we will reach our goal to flip the Sierra Blue.

By supporting my campaign back in 2020, you have been a part of this process and when we win, you can celebrate with us, knowing that some of California’s most beloved treasures including Lake Tahoe, the High Sierra and beyond, will have a Champion at the Federal Level.

As you know, early fundraising results set the trajectory for a campaign and so I am exhorting you to contribute to Jessica’s campaign right now. I promise you that every dollar will be used wisely. Jessica has hired a first-rate campaign team and knows how to run a strong campaign. What will put us over the top this cycle is that we have been building an army of grassroots activists across the district who are already working on Jessica’s behalf. As you know the folks in the Sierra are resilient and hardworking. This year we survived 80 feet of snow and more and we are still here, protecting this place for future generations. Please contribute as generously as you can; you have my assurance it will be put to the best possible use.
