Folks,

We just finished looking at the latest polling numbers for the race for the General Assembly with Mark and we’ve got to be honest with you… we’re worried. We need to face facts and accept that there’s a real chance that the GOP might win in November and turn Virginia completely red.

If we don’t step up our game, the General Assembly could be under complete Republican control. We could see a strict abortion ban, voter suppression laws, and gun safety rollbacks in a matter of weeks after members are sworn in.

Senator Warner has been warning us for months now that Republicans have an opportunity to control the House of Delegates, the Virginia Senate, and the governor’s office. We’re disheartened to say that now that opportunity is well within their reach.

And that reach is a bit too close for comfort for us. Democrats need to dig deep in battlegrounds like Richmond, Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach, and Chesterfield to reach every voter in Virginia and get them to the polls to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
