John, this is the longest email I’ll ever send you, BUT it’s important, so I hope you’ll stick around to read it through.

As we approach Election Day here in Virginia, I’ve been truly blown away by the enthusiasm and generosity of this grassroots team.

Together, we’re making a tangible impact on this race. I want to outline our strategy in these final weeks to tip the scale in favor of Democrats and usher in a blue majority for Virginia.

Defend Democracy

It’s our responsibility to ensure that democracy endures in the Commonwealth. That’s why Defend Democracy PAC was founded: to combat Republicans’ war on democracy.

Our mission is to elect responsible leaders who will stand up for the truth, expand voting access, and encourage greater participation in our democracy.

Moreover, Defend Democracy PAC is working to get voters the accurate information they need to cast their ballots – and mobilizing folks to stand up for truth, equality, democracy, and freedom on Election Day.

Protect Freedom & Choice in Virginia

It’s difficult to convey the severity of the threat to abortion rights in Virginia if Democrats fall short this November. Put simply, Gov. Youngkin could have the majorities he needs to ban abortion by January 2024.

And safe, legal abortion isn’t the only freedom on the chopping block. At the first opportunity, Republicans will enact a host of voter suppression laws to restrict participation in our democracy to a select few, chip away at the rights of workers to organize, and dismantle our public education system.

We cannot let Virginia become the next victim of the GOP’s disastrous agenda. The solution isn’t easy, but it is simple: defend our slim State Senate majority AND flip the House of Delegates in November.

Doing all that I’ve listed here is going to require a major investment in these final weeks, and I’m asking for your help to get it done.

So, I’m humbly asking: Will you chip in $25 or more to help Defend Democracy PAC launch a final offensive to end the far-right takeover of Virginia?
