I’m sorry to be reaching out again, but I hope you take it as a sign of just how important Saturday’s FEC deadline is.
Because that’s the truth. I would not be asking you to pitch in to my reelection today if your support didn’t matter.
But if you are able to give, it would mean a lot to me if you could pitch in here: [link removed]

Look, there’s no way around it. Fundraising is the worst part of this job.
I hate how big money dominates our politics, and I hate that it forces me to ask people for money if I stand any chance of competing with super PACs and corporate interests.
Their influence is undoubtedly a corrosive force for democracy, but it’s why I’m so determined to do things differently. That’s also why I’m building a people-powered campaign from start to finish.
Unlike most people in Washington, I’m not taking a dime of PAC or corporate money. I don’t want anyone to think for a second that I’m beholden to any special interests.
My mission as a progressive Democrat in Washington is to shift power back to the people. I think we should level the playing field for our families. We should all share in the success of our economy — not just corporations and the top 1%.
But fighting to unrig this system and shift power to working people puts a target on me. I need to make clear with this deadline that I will have the resources to fight back and the support of people like you if they try to drown me in dark money attacks.
Please consider making a donation to my reelection today before our FEC deadline in just over 48 hours. Every dollar will help me not only hold this seat but grow our movement’s power in Washington to deliver meaningful change for you and your family.
Thank you in advance for having my back. Everything you do to show you support this movement helps prove we’re ready for whatever is thrown our way.
Every best wish,
-Chris Murphy
