| Dear John, You’re probably not surprised to hear about President Biden’s performative pilgrimage to the picket lines in Detroit. Every day in office, President Biden has bowed to the desires of union bosses. And—he will keep doing so.
My colleague Annie Patnaude (she leads Americans for Prosperity Michigan) put it well: Today’s strike announcement proves that union bosses are emboldened following President Biden’s ‘Bidenomics’ labor agenda, favoring union leader preferences over worker choice and we saw that clearly in Michigan with the Right to Work repeal. As membership continues to drag, they are weaponizing strike tactics that are putting American economic dominance in jeopardy.
Union bosses are weaponizing strike tactics that put American economic leadership in jeopardy—all for the sake of the crony relationship between union bosses and government command-and-control plans for the economy. And, John, mark my words, this does not end in Detroit.
Union bosses got Right to Work repealed in Michigan. And, instead of empowering workers, they want to repeal right-to-work laws in all 27 states! Big government politicians have a union bosses-backed plan to impose top-down control on workers across the country. That plan is called the PRO Act.
The PRO Act has passed the House of Representatives in a previous Congress and big government advocates are pushing it again now.
We have to stop it.
We need a future for America with labor laws that promote worker freedom.
Will you help us stop the PRO Act and expand worker freedom instead by signing our Statement of Principles for Worker Freedom? We need thousands of activists like you to agree and commit to take action if we are to succeed. |
