The New York Times today published this image of the teeny amount of ground gained by each side, while both sides of the war between Russia and Ukraine proclaim eternal imminent victory and condemn compromise or peace as heretical treason. Over a half a million people have thus far been directly killed or wounded as the risk of nuclear disaster increases and the impediments to global cooperation on climate are locked in place.
Meanwhile, at least 50 nations have each just used the meeting of the (undemocratic) United Nations to urge peacemaking in Ukraine. And many dozens of events are planned all over the world to demonstrate the popular demand for peace during the September 30 to October 8 week of actions.
To find an event to join in near you, or to create one and add it to the list, go to the World BEYOND War Events Calendar.
Also find and add events to the International Peace Bureau’s webpage. If in the U.S., also go to the Peace in Ukraine Coalition, and to UNAC. If in Canada go here. If in Germany go here.

Dress for success.
Here are just a few of the events planned:
Oct 1, New York City: March on CNN!
OCT 3, Washington DC: Rally with Cornel West et alia!
OCT 5, Online from London: Lies, Propaganda, and the West's War in Ukraine!
OCT 7, Rome: Manifestazione Nazionale!
Consider holding a discussion event with a video or article from https://worldbeyondwar.org/ukraine or standing on a corner with a sign, or creating a tableau, or picketing the office of an elected official, or taking your concerns to a destructive and dishonest media outlet. Consider using the attention given the war in Ukraine to call attention to any number of other wars and the need to abolish warmaking.
Tell the Ukrainian Government to Drop Prosecution of Peace Activist Yurii Sheliazhenko
World BEYOND War Board Member Yurii Sheliazhenko has been formally charged by the Ukrainian
government with the crime of justifying Russian aggression. The evidence
is this statement which explicitly condemns Russian aggression.

Tell 60 Minutes to Stop Promoting War
The U.S. television news show is heavily promoting war in Ukraine, acting as a voice for the Pentagon and the U.S. Agency for International Development. Sign this petition asking them to do real journalism.
