Hello John:
As we come together this Hispanic Heritage Month, it's a poignant moment for us at WomenHeart to shed light on an issue close to our hearts: the staggering impact of heart disease on Hispanic women. The journey to heart health is paved with challenges and triumphs, and today, we wish to amplify the voices that lead this charge from within our community.
Did You Know?
-
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) affects an alarming 42.7% of Hispanic women, making it the leading cause of death for them.
- Heart disease develops in Hispanic women, on average, ten years earlier than in non-Hispanics.
- A mere 1 in 3 Hispanic women recognize heart disease as their primary health threat.
But hope and resilience persist! At WomenHeart, we're deeply committed to being a beacon of support for the 48 million American women living with or at risk for heart disease. Our strength lies in our community – our 1000+ WomenHeart Champions leading education and advocacy.
