We have three days left before our campaign publicly discloses our first quarter of fundraising, and all eyes are on us. Your donation helps us prove that we'll have the resources to win.
Hi Name,
People always ask me why I'm running for Congress. It's not because I wanted to get involved in politics, but because I had no choice.

You've heard me talk about how I grew up in a roach infested Section 8 apartment here in DuPage County and worked a union job after class in high school because food stamps weren't enough for my family to get by. I began my career as a human rights lawyer to advocate for people who had nowhere else to turn and to provide the kind of support that I relied on growing up.
Here's the fact of the matter though. As an advocate, I can serve my neighbors, but only one person at a time. As a policymaker, I can work to prevent the system from leaving people behind in the first place.
I'm not running for Congress to achieve some lifelong dream. I'm running for Congress to make our government work for families like mine back when I was growing up.
If you agree that we deserve representation that serves us and our neighbors instead of corporate donors and special interests, I hope you'll support our campaign by donating at this link. If you can't today but you recognize my story, please share this email to your friends and family so that we can grow our movement.
