Every year on September 28, International Safe Abortion Day, Ipas stands with our partners around the world to call for abortion access for all.

This is an important day of action that helps advance our mission and raises public awareness of why abortion access matters—for everyone.

But at Ipas, every day is really International Safe Abortion Day. We’ve been fighting this fight every day of our 50-year history, and we’re gearing up for 50 more years.

A half century in the global movement for abortion access has taught us a simple truth: Abortion affects every body. Everyone in society benefits when we protect reproductive freedom, and so every single person has a stake in making sure abortion is accessible to all.
