Dear friends,

You know we’re rejecting corporate PAC money. It’s the right thing to do, but in the age of Citizens United, doing what’s right might not be what’s easy.

Saying no to corporate PACs means we have to work harder to raise money, but the benefit is our campaign can form a closer bond with our supporters.

So, here’s the update to keep you in the loop:

We set an end-of-month goal of $40,000, but we still have to raise $12,237. We’re on track, but donations are bound to slow down because it’s a weekend.

We need our grassroots supporters to step up before midnight -- can you chip in right now?
