One exceptional athlete with ID who embodies not just fall sports but also the excitement and camaraderie of Special Olympics is Stefano. A graduate of Ole Miss with a mathematics degree, a trombone player with a heart of gold, AND a quarterback for Team Mississippi’s flag football team at last year’s Special Olympics USA Games – Stefano keeps himself busy!

But he’s never too busy to pay it forward and be a champion for others.  

“Inclusion is important to me because we should be able to associate with everyone, regardless of who they are,” says Stefano, who’s a natural leader and hugely motivational friend. “This message resonates with people because at the end of the day, everyone wants to be included in something.”
