This is how you stand with Black Women
Planned Parenthood
I come from a long line of strong women.

Women like my grandmother, who defied her strict southern family when she fell in love at a young age, eloped and moved north. After settling into her new home, she chopped off one of her braids and mailed it to her father as a sign of her independence.

My grandmother was a feminist before the word "feminist" even existed. It's that legacy of bold fearlessness and unapologetic strength that makes me so proud to be a Black woman.

And as a leader of Planned Parenthood, I know that there is no path to reproductive freedom if the lives, voices, and experiences of Black women aren't front and center in this movement. When we fight for Black women, we fight for everyone.

Stand with black women
Black History Month may be coming to an end, but Planned Parenthood is committed to standing with Black women every single day. Share this graphic to tell the world that you stand with Black women and that you're in this fight for us all.

When our rights come under fire, it's Black women and communities of color who often bear the brunt of these attacks resulting in lack of access to quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health care.

Standing with Black women means trusting their leadership, growing their political power, highlighting their struggles, and celebrating their joy. Standing with Black women means taking action on their behalf every day.

Earlier this month, we asked you what standing with Black women means to you and I was so inspired by your responses. Here are a few you shared:

All black women deserve respect and acknowledgement. We exist, and we will exist loudly. Joplyn R.
