International Abortion Day signifies the annual day of action to support safe abortion. The day, which originated in Latin America in the 1990s, has been internationally celebrated since 2011 in solidarity with women in Southern America that lead the initiative.

Safe abortion care isn’t always guaranteed in the United States. Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022, pregnant people across America had endured incredible hardships in order to access abortion. Many have had to endure hardships even before the fall of Roe.

We’re fighting every day to fix that. Donate to help fund our work.

Today and every day, we recognize the stories of people who have had to fight for abortion, including people who are forced to carry nonviable pregnancies, children who are forced to travel for care, people who are deemed “not sick enough” to receive abortion care, and countless others. We honor those who have had to endure unimaginable circumstances to get the abortion care they deserve, and we’re determined to support a future where abortion is accessible and safe abortion is the norm.

No one should suffer in order to get abortion care. Give to show your support.

With gratitude,

Nataley Neuman
Executive Assistant, Reproaction

P.S. Everyone deserves access to safe abortion care. Celebrate International Safe Abortion Day with a donation.
