John,
We are in the midst of a 9-1-1 emergency in our democracy. I've seen it up close. I'm humbled to be serving the people of Georgia every day in the U.S. Senate, but let us not forget what had to happen for me to win reelection:
The GOP cut the runoff period in half after our historic victory in 2020. And then, they misinterpreted an old Georgia law to block voting on the first Saturday of the runoff – so I sued them.
Only with an unprecedented grassroots organizing effort were we able to get millions of folks to the polls and win. But Republicans continued to play games: Those same GOP officials appealed the decision, asking for "emergency relief." Relief from what? The people's voices?
In Georgia and across the country, the GOP is trying to make it harder for folks to have a say in our democracy – harming our ability to secure progress on reproductive rights, gun safety, climate action, and so much more.
We can – and need to – do better than this, which is why I introduced the Freedom to Vote Act, a bill that will help ensure every eligible American can make their voice heard and have their vote counted.
I won't stop pushing until we get this done, but I can't do it alone. I'm looking for 10,000 folks to join me in this fight before midnight tonight, and I'm counting on you to be one of them. So please, tell me now:
Do you support protecting voting rights?

A vote is a kind of prayer about the world we want for our children – and our prayers are stronger when we pray together. Thanks for speaking out alongside me.
