Did you hear, John? Democrat candidate Melissa Hurtado just voted to raise your taxes - and make it even easier to raise taxes on a local level.
California used to require a two-thirds majority to increase taxes on local measures. Hurtado voted YES on ACA1, which lowers the requirement to only a 55% majority. You can thank Melissa for the higher taxes! This has to stop! Don't let tax-and-spend Melissa Hurtado into Congress where she can do more damage.

Melissa's track record clearly demonstrates her support for increasing taxes. The only remaining tax protection Californians have is Prop 13, which puts a cap on how much property taxes can increase in one year – and we know Democrats like Hurtado are salivating to get rid of Prop 13.
