History is literally in the making right now…

The United Auto Workers (UAW) just kicked off a historic Stand Up Strike at General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis (‘Big 3 Auto’ companies). And we just joined 120+ climate and social justice organizations in signing an open letter to Big 3 Auto CEOs demanding that they meet UAW’s contract demands and ensure that the auto industry’s clean energy transition is a just transition too. 

This is an historic moment where labor and environmental justice groups are coming together to stand up to corporate greed and fight for working people, and we need you to help us win! 

So I have three things you can do RIGHT NOW, and they literally will make all the difference for the workers across the country on strike. 

1. You can go to UAW.org/standwithus to see a map of all of the places where UAW is picketing and JOIN THE PICKET LINE! This is a SUPER helpful tactic that shows the strength of the strike and helps keep momentum going. 
2. You can help educate the public about this incredibly important strike by canvassing at a local Big Three auto dealership near you! Go to UAW.org/standwithus/dealershipcanvass to get everything you need to get out there and start talking to your community. 
3. IF YOU ARE PUMPED but you’re brand new to strike organizing or want to hear more, then join us this Sunday at 6pm ET for a mass call with the United Auto Workers and dozens of other groups to learn more about the strike, negotiations, and how to help! 

Fair wages and good benefits for auto workers is a massive win for working people everywhere and for our path to the Green New Deal. Together we can stand up to the executives who profit off the labor of the workers and fight for a just transition from fossil fuels.
