As policymakers confront a looming government shutdown, the current proposal in the House includes significant cuts to the International Affairs Budget at a time when America is facing a growing number of global threats. Another significant concern is the lack of additional emergency support for Ukraine, which U.S. military leaders keep reminding us that it is essential for our own national security.
