STOP!
Why The Hell Are There Apps For Every Single Kid Activity Now?! ([link removed])
After more than five years with the same iPhone, I’m finally considering an upgrade this fall. Not because of the improved camera, or any newfangled bells and whistles. It’s purely because I’ve run out of storage space, and parenting in 2023 apparently requires downloading a dozen apps.
Needless to say, Samm Davidson is speaking to me today: “As a millennial, I consider myself at least mildly tech savvy. But there is not enough storage in my brain or on my phone to manage all of the apps that parents of school-aged children are now expected to juggle. Seesaw for elementary school assignment viewing ([link removed]) . Class Dojo ([link removed]) for my elementary and middle schooler where they earn points for good behavior and I can track their progress. Homeward Bound for after-school opportunities.”
And that’s without even getting into all the sports apps! I bet you’re in a similar spot and will get a kick out of the piece.

11 Hot Pink Books You’d Find In Barbie’s Dream Library ([link removed])
“There may be a shortage of fluorescent pink paint, but that hasn’t stopped people from finding other creative ways to ‘Barbiefy’ their bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchens. And as far as bookworms are concerned, you really only need one thing to build and organize a bookcase fit for Barbie Dreamland: books with pink covers, of course!” writes Emily Weaver. And you better believe she’s got some suggestions for you.
