Folks,

I’m sure you know the deal by now when it comes to these end-of-quarter deadlines – after every four months, we have to file our fundraising numbers with the Federal Election Commission – who then makes our numbers publicly available.

It’s important we hit our fundraising goals for every end-of-quarter deadline, but frankly, this one carries a bit more weight than usual. Since this is our final deadline before the legislative elections in Virginia, our numbers are going to dictate how much money the GOP decides to pour into the Commonwealth to support Republican candidates before Election Day.

That’s why we’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal to close out this quarter: $15,000. And that’s why I’m asking if you’ll consider chipping in $5 today to help us hit this goal and show Republicans that Democrats in Virginia are not backing down anytime soon. [link removed]

Republicans nationwide are already pouring crazy amounts of money into Virginia. The biggest Republican PAC in Virginia has been shattering fundraising records and just last week it was reported that $1.4 million of dark money has been spent in an effort to elect GOP candidates to the General Assembly.

It’s pretty simple. This is the last opportunity we have to show the GOP that this grassroots movement can be the difference we need this end-of-quarter fundraising deadline.
