Friend, like so many other families, mine was forced from Cuba by the brutality of the Castro regime. Under threat of imprisonment or death, they escaped for the freedoms that define our way of life.

Senator Sanders comments are consistent with his entire career of cozying up to foreign communist dictators who brutalize their own people and destroy their countries. Now he wants to bring those same broken policies to this country.

I recently spoke about this on Fox News:

Make no mistake about it. This is not about a benign set of European social programs. Free housing, a federal jobs guarantee, and single payer healthcare are not the policies of Denmark. They are the policies of Cuba. And they can only be done by destroying the freedoms that define the human spirit.

Please help me stand up for the American way and defeat the socialist policies that destroyed the land of my grandparents.
