Team,
Yesterday, Sara emailed you about our $4,000 goal for the end of the quarter, and we want to give you some insight into how your dollars will fund the resources needed for her re-election campaign.
(And if you didn’t get a chance yesterday to donate, click here to chip in whatever you can to help us hit our goal.)
Ask any campaign staffer about the most important elements of a winning campaign and they’ll likely tell you three things:
1. Time 2. Money 3. People power
Serving as a Member of Congress and running for re-election is like having two full-time jobs. For Sara, this means she’s meeting with her constituents, drafting legislation and defending it on the House floor, attending important committee hearings, and more – and she’s in full campaign mode.
There aren’t enough hours in the day for Sara to be everywhere at once, which is why it also takes money and people power to run and win next November. That looks like:
- Hiring campaign staff (hi!) to reach every voter and speak to the diverse communities that make up her district.
-
Running a home base office in the district for all the campaign work, including electricity, desks, and coffee for the late-night sprints as we get closer to election day.
- Designing, printing, and mailing voting reminders so that every voter knows when and how to vote.
-
Investing in online voter outreach from a website to online advertising to social media to emails just like this one.
And so much more.
If we’re going to re-elect Sara and retake the House in 2024, we need to raise funds, staff up our campaign, and train volunteers early on so we can map out a winning strategy. There’s a lot of planning that will happen in the days and weeks ahead, but none of it is possible without your help - especially ahead of a major deadline like this one on September 30th.
Can you chip in any amount towards our $4,000 email fundraising goal to help build up Sara’s re-election campaign and defeat her MAGA opponent?

Thanks so much!
