Dear Friend,

It was, as they say, one for the record books. 

Earlier this month, Claremont alumni from across the United States—and points beyond—gathered at the stately Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, Texas for three days of frank discussion and collaborative thinking centered on restoring the American way of life we hold so dear. 

Guests participated in talks and roundtables with Claremont scholars on the state of the American regime, blueprints for winning congressional agendas, and the much-needed return of “radical federalism” (which in these Washington-centric times simply means “federalism actually applied”) in red states. Friendships were formed and renewed, professional alliances cemented—all invigorated by the knowledge that the networked power of Claremont’s Alumni Fellows supercharges the prospects for success in our shared work to save America. 

The weekend was capped by the presentation of the Henry Salvatori Prize in the American Founding, awarded each year to an individual “who has distinguished himself or herself by an understanding of, and actions taken to, preserve and foster the principles upon which the United States was built.” This year’s recipient was Dr. Harvey C. Mansfield, Jr., distinguished political science professor at Harvard University and stalwart defender of the Constitution. As his student Senator Tom Cotton (Publius, 1997) noted during his award introduction, “Harvey Mansfield is a legend.” 

For over four decades, the Claremont Institute has educated the most serious, daring, and innovative leaders of the conservative movement. We are only able to continue this work—now more vital than ever—because of your generous support. Thank you.
