MONTY MASON JOINS FAR-LEFT VIRGINIA DEMOCRATS IN LYING TO VOTERS ABOUT ABORTION





With his campaign in free-fall, Monty Mason has decided the only way to save
his seat is to lie to voters about the widely respected Sheriff Danny Diggs.

regurgitates the same scare tactics and falsehoods displayed by his fellow
far-left Virginia Democrats, who are desperate to distract Virginians from
their extreme position on abortion.


“Monty Mason is following his fellow far-left Democrats down the shameful path
of lying to voters in order to distract from his extreme record. Monty’s latest
ad is a sad attempt to rescue his flailing campaign, engaging in despicable
fear-mongering and falsehoods. With no record of accomplishment, no vision, and
no commonsense agenda to offer the people of his district, it is not a surprise
that Monty Mason and Virginia Democrats feel their only option is to lie to
Virginians,”said Spirit of Virginia Chairman Dave Rexrode.

Joel Griffin

,Virginia House Democrats
<[link removed]>
, and theDemocratic Party of Virginia
<[link removed]>, using
citations that debunk the entire premise of the ad itself.



In fact, the only citation Monty Mason uses in his ad comes at the :12 mark,
where the ad ridiculously states that “Diggs vowed to pass a new ban on
abortion forcing us to deny care. Jailing doctors and nurses. Putting lives in
danger.”



The citation points to Diggs’ campaign website, which states the following:



“I am pro-life and believe we must do better in cultivating a culture of life
in Virginia. I will work to expand access to adoption and provide mothers the
resources they need to support their children. I also support Governor
Youngkin’s common sense proposal to allow abortion up to 15 weeks while leaving
in exceptions for rape, incest, and to save the life of the mother.”



Monty Mason is running a race on everything he hasn’t done (like being tough
on crime and wanting to lower taxes), but voters see right through him. So,
now, Monty Mason is fabricating statements that Danny Diggs has never said.



The reason Monty Mason is lying is the same reason all Virginia Democrats are
lying – to distract from the fact that they align withKathy Tran’s position
<[link removed]> that abortion should be allowed
“Through the third trimester... all the way up to 40 weeks.”





In fact, the same year Kathy Tran introduced legislation that would, to her
own admission, allow abortions while a woman is in labor, Monty Mason
co-sponsored nearly identical legislation in the Senate.



Monty Mason has the same position on abortion as Kathy Tran, which is far too
extreme for Virginia. That’s why he is lying.
