What a disaster, folks.

With three days until a shutdown, Kevin McCarthy and the GOP are in complete disarray and still failing to reach a deal.

But I guess we all saw this coming, didn’t we?

The dysfunction started right out of the gate when it took them five days (and 15 votes) to even elect McCarthy as Speaker. You may remember they literally almost came to blows in the process!

McCarthy made huge concessions to the MAGA Caucus, which meant that instead of legislating, they spent the year purging Democrats from key committees, elevating extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene, and launching a doomed impeachment inquiry.

Look, what's happening in Congress is an embarrassment, and it’s never been more important for us to retake the House and send McCarthy packing.

My race in IL-17 is being called the “most competitive” House contest in the state, and one that could decide control of Congress. The same Republicans stirring chaos in Washington are gearing up to spend massive sums to defeat me.
