John,

I wanted to share more with you about my background and why I'm running for Congress. I hope you'll read this entire message, then consider pitching in $3 before my FEC fundraising deadline to help us improve lives for working families in Michigan and beyond >>

My parents, a secretary and a union carpenter, did their best to provide a happy childhood, but it wasn’t always easy. They taught me to work hard and never back down when things get tough.

I have memories of seeing my mom stressfully doing bills on Saturday mornings. I remember standing in line with my father at the unemployment office when he was laid off after work seasons.

Unemployment insurance helped us make ends meet while pinching pennies. And thankfully, my father’s pension allowed my parents to retire with dignity.

Taking the lessons of hard work from my parents, I worked through college and built my small business from a folding table and a phone book to one of the largest woman-owned financial planning firms in Michigan. For over thirty years, I’ve helped other families establish financial security so they are better armed against the hardships my family faced.

I’ve seen how unions can strengthen the middle class and how the government can protect working families’ futures. But also how a simple tweak in a tax code can funnel millions of dollars to CEOs while draining resources from public schools and roads.

Today, MAGA Republicans like John James want to remove the very lifelines that helped my family and countless other Michigan families make it through the real world, that’s a big reason why I’m running.

We must protect working families and build an economy that works for everyone. That's just a start to what we can accomplish together, but if we're going to do this, I'll need your help:

If you're ready to win this race and flip MI-10 from red to blue – now is the best time to chip in $3 to my campaign. This is a true grassroots effort fighting against super PACs and special interests – so every dollar before this FEC deadline counts.

Thank you for helping me fight for your, my, and Michigan’s working families.
