Ten. That's how many days the media — *especially* Fox News — have spent melting down about a change in Senate dress code, blaming John for “the deterioration of this country” + literally comparing the rules change to the fall of Rome. (We WISH we were kidding.)
Meanwhile — three. That's how many days we are away from a full government shutdown.
If a shutdown happens, it will be catastrophic for the middle class — causing delays to travel + supply chains, stalling paychecks for millions of government employees + service members, and hurting those who rely on government assistance to get by.
I mean c'mon. How wrong can the fringe right's priorities be???
We need to take the threat of a MAGA shutdown seriously, and we need to have serious representatives working hard to keep the government running — no matter what they choose to wear to do it.
If you ask us, the GOP wilfully derailing the government shows way more disrespect to our institutions than showing up to work in a hoodie. 🤷
