Folks,
I’m all for comfort.
I love a comfy pair of gym shorts to watch my Saints on Sunday.
Or a T-shirt in the summer when I’m mowing the lawn.
But here’s the thing: both of those instances are in the privacy of my home.
Not on the floor of The United States Senate. Now, maybe newcomers do not have a proper understanding of what we do here. Or perhaps they don’t really take it seriously.
My stance remains the same: getting rid of a dress code on the Senate floor disrespects where we serve and the American families we represent.
Knock yourself out in gym shorts, hoodies, and t-shirts anywhere else. But here, you have to take things seriously.
Help me restore Common Sense & Courtesy, Patriot. Thank you,
Senator John Kennedy
