Hi John,

Yesterday in New York, the Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, made her most extreme speech yet. 

She said multiculturalism is "toxic" and it has failed. Not only is that wrong, it is also dangerous and fuels the far right.

What Braverman said marks a turning point for HOPE not hate: we cannot stand by and let the country slide ever further towards the far right. We need to make sure people know just how extreme this speech was. 

Please can you share this video on social media and let your friends and family know that Braverman doesn’t speak for any of us?

I am not exaggerating when I say that this speech by Braverman has echoes of Enoch Powell’s infamous “Rivers of Blood” speech.

Alongside saying multiculturalism is “toxic” and that it has failed, she also echoed far-right rhetoric on the birth rates of immigrants and suggested immigration “dilutes” Western cultures.

This has crossed a clear line. We must stand up for multiculturalism. So please, John, share our video with your friends and family on social media.
