TONIGHT is the NOVA YDs Happy Hour at Hop N Shine in Alexandria at 7pm. It's an Arlington Young Dems, Fairfax Young Dems, and Alexandria Young Dems combined happy hour that you do not want to miss. And on Saturday, September 30th - there are two canvasses happening at the same time: - The AYDs are headed down to Prince William County for Danica Roem & VA Dems. - If you'd prefer to stay in Arlington, that's okay too. The ArlDems Joint Coordinated Campaign (JCC) has GOTV Canvass Kick-Off at 10am. Now that early voting is underway, it's time to turn every single Democratic voter in Arlington out. Rumor has it that our nominees in Arlington will be there as well. You can sign up here.
Side note: With all these canvasses happening, I hope you have proper footwear. I don't know about you, but I prefer to canvass in canvas Converse. A lasting legacy from my days as a Kamala Harris organizer, years and years ago.
Anyway, back to business. Next week on Friday, October 6th at 6:30pm is our big JCC Gold Card event. It's our Knocktoberfest: Bingo Night! It's one of the four big Gold Card events that happen during deep campaign season. I'm giving you ample notice because I want you there, John. So mark it on your calendar, right now. AYD Canvass: Danica Roem & VA Dems
We're heading back to Prince William County! On Saturday, September 30th, we'll be heading over to Prince William County to support Danica Roem (SD 30) and the rest of the VA Dems down the ballot. We’ll meet up at 9:00am to carpool out by 9:10am in order to arrive in PWC to canvass from 10am-1pm. We should arrive back in Arlington around 2pm. Meet-up location will be provided upon sign up via email, so please keep an eye on your inbox! Sign up to canvass below and let us know if you are able to drive others! Please be prepared to walk around for a while (think: athletic clothing, tennis shoes, sunglasses, baseball cap/visor), and keep an eye on the forecast.
