I'm Sarah Long, the Director of Development here at Movement Labs. My job is to make sure we've got the funding, resources, and support we need to stop 100,000 Republicans from winning their races every single year.

Right now, 100,000 Republicans are winning seats from school boards to county commissioners and Mayor to City Council – simply because we aren't running against them.

I want to cut right to the chase and ask you to support this movement before our big fundraising deadline on September 30th.

Here's why:

Our signature program, Contest Every Race, recruits, guides, and trains folks to run for local office in their own backyards to change their communities from the inside out.

So far, we've asked hundreds of thousands of people to run and over 5,000 have put their name on the ballot. And the best part? Many of them are winning.

We're not going to let anything slow us down from challenging and defeating the extremists who are trying to ban books, overturn elections, and fill our school boards with radical right-wingers.

Unlike other initiatives that focus on easier pick-ups in so-called 'blue' zones — Movement Labs does not leave our "purple," "red," or even "deep red" communities behind. We're investing aggressively at the local level and watching those results filter up.

But our budgets for supporting candidates and communities have to match what we can raise. That's why our quarterly deadlines are critical for us.
