Friend, it’s clear that some leaders in the Pennsylvania Senate have taken for granted the idea that an educated Commonwealth is paramount to the future of our state.
That’s why the Basic Education Funding Commission (BEFC) is holding hearings on how PA legislators can uphold our constitutional obligation to a fairly and fully funded public education system.
Friend, I’ll be hosting my hearing in Pittsburgh on October 11 at Westinghouse High School, but given Republicans’ determination to dismantle our public education, I know I’ve got a tough fight ahead of me.
As I get ready to respond to the order from the Commonwealth Court, I need to know you’ve got my back. Can you chip in $25, or whatever you can, so I can secure the long overdue funding needed to strengthen our public education system?

Pennsylvania’s Senate GOP has already proven that the focus of this session will be in lockstep with the party’s national attacks against our public schools, so I know I’ll be up against both state and national opposition as I head into my hearing.
Students across our state have been denied basic educational access for far too long because of a lack of fair and equitable funding. Help me right the constitutional violation against our students by supporting my fight to invest in Pennsylvania’s public education system today.
Thank you for supporting my fight, friend. I’ll keep you posted.
