Hello John —
Coming from the Army, I'm used to dealing with a lot of acronyms and slang. As a candidate, I've learned even more – GOTV, AVR, EOQ. But the biggest one of all is:
F E C
That's short for Federal Election Commission – they're the big dogs who oversee and enforce campaign finance law. And every quarter, we have to file a report with them that shows how much money we raised, who we raised it from, and how much we spent.
Right now, we are just 3 days away from the end of the FEC reporting period – when we'll have to file our latest finances. And after that, the FEC makes them PUBLIC.
That means everyone – our allies, our opponents, the press and pundits – will see exactly what we're capable of.
One of our big goals is to show we have strong grassroots support. That's why we need to raise $15,000 from grassroots donors before the FEC deadline. Can you pitch in $10 to help reach our goal?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: |

We're just $3,512 away – we can get there if everyone reading this email pitches in just a few bucks!
Thanks for having my back,
Ashley 🚁
P.S. One of my commitments as a candidate is to not take a penny from corporate PACs. It's important to me that I'm beholden to the people, not special interests. But that also means I'm counting on the people (you!) to power this campaign. So can you pitch in?
