Team:

President Biden was in Michigan yesterday to stand in solidarity alongside United Auto Workers pickets on their strike. Experts say this is possibly the first time in U.S. history that a sitting president has joined an ongoing strike.

It’s no surprise that President Biden chose to take this bold action as a fierce ally to working families and the labor movement.

Unlike former president Trump — who is also visiting Michigan auto workers today for a meaningless photo-op — President Biden and Michigan Democrats have worked hard to bring back supply chains from overseas, create good-paying union jobs across industries including clean energy, and lower the costs of everyday expenses for American families, including health insurance premiums and prescription drug costs.

We need to make sure Republicans can’t rewrite history next year when they drop attack ad after attack ad against the president. We need to prepare now to reach voters so we can share the ways President Biden and Michigan Democrats have stood up for working families while Republicans have tried to block our progress.

In order to communicate with voters, we need to make sure we have the resources to reach them online, at their mailbox, and at their doors as we build a powerful and winning grassroots strategy.

Will you stand with us and make a contribution ahead of Saturday’s FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline? I would love to see your name on our next public list of donors who celebrated President Biden’s visit today and stood with the Michigan Democratic Party as we prepare to get out the vote in 2024!
