As you know, a senseless tragedy claimed the lives of at least 22 members of the El Paso community with countless more injured.

I went to El Paso and visited some of the victims in the hospital, left a flag at the memorial site, and thanked those who lined up to give blood. I am overwhelmed by the resilience of Texas.

This is not a political issue. This is a human issue – an issue of good vs. evil. While we must all continue to pray for the victims and their families, Texans on both sides of the political aisle must come together to support El Paso in any way we can.

Over the last several years, Texans have been no strangers to tragedy but time and again we proved that Texas is strong. Now, we need to do it once more. We need to support those hurting in the El Paso community. That’s why I’m asking that you make a contribution of any amount you can to the El Paso Victims Relief Fund.
