This week, my Republican colleagues introduced two bills to further their attack on Roe v. Wade.

While legislation to expand voter access and ensure the integrity of our elections, address the pressing threat of climate change, and prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex are gathering dust, attacks on reproductive rights continue. These bills would chip away at reproductive freedom — and one would even criminalize doctors. Americans deserve a Senate that will vote on the issues that impact our communities, and the legislative schedule should never be used as a partisan weapon.

Let me be frank: these bills were a political stunt, not legislation that would actually improve health care for Americans.

Choices about pregnancy and reproductive health care are deeply personal. I’m the father of three daughters, and I’ve always trusted women to make choices governing their own bodies. That’s why I voted against these anti-choice bills in the Senate. I will always protect reproductive rights and defend against any attacks to chip away at those rights.

To stop these attacks, we’ve got to flip the Senate majority and replace President Trump with someone who will restore choice and dignity to patients. That's why a generous group of donors is matching all gifts to my campaign up to $11,000, until midnight.
