I just got off the stage in tonight’s debate.

I was proud to share our plans, especially on law and order. Chris Hipkins would not even acknowledge that crime is out of control in our country.

Labour is out of touch, out of ideas, and Chris Hipkins' negative campaign is not working. 

National will back our police to crack down on gangs, and we’ll strengthen sentences for convicted criminals to keep you safe.

Our announcement today, of 300 extra frontline police over the next four years, will focus on inner-city crime prevention and enforcement.

Overseas voting started today, advance voting opens on Monday and there are only 17 days until the election. I am focused on the issues that matter to New Zealanders. 

That means rebuilding the economy to reduce the cost of living and delivering for low and middle income earners who will keep more of their own money with tax relief.
