Hi everyone,

My name is Mondaire, and I am running for New York's 17th Congressional District. I am an attorney, nonprofit leader, and activist, and now I'm ready to take the fight for equal opportunity to Washington, D.C.

I was born and raised in NY-17 -- it's been my home nearly my entire life. I've witnessed firsthand how working families have been shut out of the American Dream again and again because our representatives aren’t fighting for the people they represent.

My mom worked multiple jobs just to make ends meet, and we still needed Section 8 housing and food stamps. Watching my mother fight tooth and nail to raise and support me no matter the adversity she faced, I learned early on that our government needs to fill in the gaps to help everyone succeed.

We the people of NY-17 are ready for new representation, and that's why I'm running for Congress. Our campaign is refusing to accept money from corporate PACs, which is why I'm teaming up with The Collective to help win this seat and make sure my district has a representative who will fight on behalf of working people. Can I count on you to rush support to my campaign before our February deadline -- at midnight tonight -- to help build Black political power in Congress?

No matter who you are or where you come from, we all want the same things. We want action on climate change, social justice for our communities, stronger national security, financial freedom for all Americans, and affordable health care.

Listen, I realized at a young age that, to improve my community, I couldn't wait on others to take action. It’s why, as a high school freshman, I reactivated my local NAACP youth council and organized other young people to help pass our public school budgets. That's why I'm running for Congress, because I know what my community needs to flourish -- I've lived it.

I’m fighting to bring bold, progressive policies to Congress that will help everyday people and allow all children in New York’s 17th Congressional District to dream big like I did.
