Wherever I go in Canada, people tell me about how hard it is to afford the medication they and their families need.

The stories break my heart. People cut their pills in half or skip days to make their prescriptions last. Others wait to fill prescriptions they need because they can’t afford to pay for medicine and rent at the same time. Millions of Canadians have these experiences.

This shouldn’t be that hard: When a doctor prescribes you medicine, you should be able to take it, no matter how much money you have.

We’re going to make it possible. This week, we put forward a new bill that could make universal pharmacare a reality. But we need Justin Trudeau and the Liberals to work with us so we can deliver the pharmacare people need.
