Early voting has already started and there are just six weeks until election day. We’re full-steam ahead.
You know that we’re out to win in SD30 because Danica is the best candidate to reach across the aisle, feed kids, fix roads, and get things done.
But you may not realize what we’re fighting for across the state. With Gov. Youngkin in office for at least 2 more years, Republicans are using the election to angle for control of the House of Delegates and the Senate, too.
The consequences of that kind of GOP victory would be absolutely devastating for reproductive rights in Virginia.
We already know Gov. Youngkin wants to enact a ban on all abortions after 15 weeks. Fellow Republicans have openly stated they’d like to see the law go even further with a total abortion ban in Virginia.
We can’t let that happen.
Our race is close but we have a chance to add a seat for Democrats in the Senate. Electing Danica to the state Senate would have an impact far beyond PWC, helping to keep a check on the Governor and preventing him from steamrolling our community with his legislative agenda.
