FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel just announced that the commission is moving forward with plans to restore net neutrality!

Hi,

BREAKING NEWS: Federal Communications Commission Chair Jessica Rosenworcel just announced that the agency is moving forward with plans to restore net neutrality!1

This is our chance to finally undo the damage done during the Trump administration by former FCC Chair Ajit Pai — but Comcast and their Big Cable allies will do everything in their power to block, delay, or weaken these net neutrality protections. We need to start right now mobilizing grassroots support for the free and open internet.

Will you rush a donation to help support our work, including fighting back against Comcast and restoring net neutrality?

Net neutrality is the bedrock principle of the free and open internet, which requires that all data on the internet be treated equally.

Without strong net neutrality protections, Comcast can prioritize some apps and websites over others, dumping everyday people on an internet slow lane. All the best things about the internet — the creativity, innovation, diversity of voices — are made possible because of net neutrality.2

During the Trump administration, FCC Chair and former Verizon lawyer Ajit Pai repealed net neutrality. Then, after President Biden came into office promising to restore net neutrality, telecom giants used nasty smear campaigns and mountains of cash to prevent President Biden from filling the open seat on the FCC for two years.3

Finally, earlier this month, after a massive grassroots mobilization by Demand Progress and a broad coalition that we helped build, the Senate confirmed Anna Gomez as the fifth and final tie-breaking seat on the commission.

Now, with the FCC at full force and the restoration of net neutrality closer than ever before, we need to continue to ramp up grassroots pressure.

Will you donate to Demand Progress Action and help restore net neutrality, and fight for other key reforms?

With gratitude for all that you do,

Tihi and the team at Demand Progress Action
