John,

As a nature-lover, you understand the importance of Vermont's
Green Mountains.

I'm writing to ask for your help protecting them.

The Green Mountain range is the backbone of more than 2 million
acres of wildlife habitat, forests, and trails. But development and
forest fragmentation are major threats to this iconic region.
That's why The Trust for Public Land is focused on conserving
land along the entire length of the Green Mountains, from
Massachusetts to Canada.

To date, we have protected more than 46,500 acres ... but the
work is far from over. Our goal for the coming decade is to conserve
an additional 20,000 acres, and we need your help to do it.

Every step we take together, John, toward completing the Green Mountain Project provides the public with
access to world-class recreation, supports sustainable economies, and
protects headwater streams to provide clean drinking water and
decrease the risk of flooding.

John, you care about issues such as the preservation of public land.
That's why I'm asking you to become a member of The Trust
for Public Land with a gift of $35 or whatever you can afford -
every donation will make a difference, no matter how small. Together,
we can preserve strategic forestland in Vermont and across the
country. I hope we can count on you.
