I’m sure you have been following the news about COVID - 19, or the Coronavirus. The President announced this week that Vice President Mike Pence will be leading the charge in addressing the threat here at home and in conjunction with our partners in the international community. 

While we agree that Donald Trump is not the individual we want heading this extraordinarily important effort, it is worth noting that Mike Pence’s track record in this area is equally as awful.

As Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence allowed a preventable 2015 HIV outbreak to spread by refusing to back scientifically sound policy, instead he played on politics and people’s fears.

Bottom line... America cannot overcome the extraordinary challenges that we currently face without a fully funded CDC and NIH, without a plan to provide universal health care and establish national sick leave, and most importantly without representatives at all levels of government that believe in science and are willing to fight for sound, responsible, factually-accurate scientific policy!

Science is on the ballot this Tuesday and we need you to get out and vote. We also need you to help us past the finish line and donate today. Together we can send a scientist to Washington D.C. with the expertise to address these problems head on by using educated and evidence-based solutions.
