I’m beyond excited to support Summer Lee as she launches her campaign for
re-election!

Rep. Summer Lee made history last year when she became the first Black
Congresswoman elected in Pennsylvania and beat out millions of dollars in
corporate PAC spending against her. Usually in Washington, that level of
dark money spent against a member of Congress would result in them shying
away or pulling back from fighting for everyday people. But Summer didn’t
let private interests slow her down one bit — she got to Washington,
preserved her values, and has been fighting for working class people day
and night since taking office in January. Now it’s time to ensure she
keeps her seat for the people of Western PA.

So, why am I supporting Summer?

As a true advocate for the people, Summer Lee has always taken on big
fights against some of the worst corporations putting profits over the
lives of people. Earlier this year, Summer led the call for accountability
against Norfolk Southern after the East Palestine train derailment, where
thousands of Ohioans were left struggling with environmental injustices in
the aftermath of the spill — and she continues that fight today

Summer has also introduced three crucial bills in her short time in
office: the Hazard Pay for Health Care Workers Act, the Equality in our
Laws Act, and the Bipartisan Abandoned Well Remediation Act, which passed
through the Science, Space, and Technology committee with a unanimous,
bipartisan vote. She has co-led over a dozen bills, including legislation
to make sure billionaires pay their fair share in taxes.

Summer has accomplished all this in the short 9 months since she took
office. Just imagine what we can accomplish together with another term and
a Democratic majority!

Right now, we’re already seeing right-wing billionaire-backed corporate
Super PACs pour money into stopping our fight for true multiracial
democracy and a united working class in 2024, but we can’t let them win.
We’ve beat them before — and let’s do it again.
