John, in 35 years, I thought I had seen everything there is to see, but I still find myself surprised.

We are days away from a dangerous government shutdown, and MAGA Republicans are set on playing petty partisan games than focus on the devastating impact this'll have on our constituents.

Now more than ever, we need elected officials who are not afraid to stand up to far-right extremists and advocate for what we need.

But to tell people about my work and lay the groundwork for my next campaign, I'm reaching out to the members of our progressive coalition to ask for help in raising the $15,014 we need online to reach our End of Quarter Fundraising Goal before the deadline. Will you chip in today?

I want to be as transparent as possible – here are a few reasons why meeting our upcoming goal is so important:

1️⃣ When finance reports are eventually released, journalists, analysts, and members of the GOP will be looking at the numbers to determine the strength and reach of my campaign.

2️⃣ Early on, your support allows my team to expand our budget to connect with residents and afford essential campaign materials like yard signs, literature, and supplies for our volunteers.

3️⃣ I know it's going to take more than me and my team to get things done. Consistently meeting our goals is an encouraging sign for potential partners to join our team.

John, recent events won't be the first or last time MAGA Republicans will try and play games with our funding, with our benefits, with our livelihoods. But I'm committed to being a strong voice for our communities and against far-right extremists.
