House Republicans are holding our government hostage to shove their right-wing ideology down the throats of the American people and hurtling our country toward an unnecessary government shutdown, with no concerns for the millions of families and workers who will be impacted.
Instead of getting anything of substance accomplished for the American people - like extending funding for key programs that will address issues like child poverty and the child care crisis - the House GOP is in chaos.
Here’s the bottom line: House Republicans can’t govern.
That’s why I’m doing everything in my power to ensure we flip the House in 2024 - that means fending off my MAGA opponent and helping like-minded Democrats win their elections, too. But I’m going to need your help.
As we prepare for the end of the quarter on September 30th, I challenged my team to set a fundraising goal of $4,000 to fund my re-election campaign and ensure that when our finance report is made public, it shows the strength of our grassroots support.

Look, no matter what happens with this spending bill, these right-wing Members of Congress must be defeated.
National Republicans embraced, platformed, and helped elect these extreme candidates - giving them power when they should have denounced them. And while Trump and his loyalists continue to destroy our democratic norms and institutions in an attempt to grab even more power, we have to fight to hold together the pieces.
It’s disgraceful - and it’s why we need to vote them out in 2024.
We’ve got a lot of work to do if we’re going to run a strong re-election campaign, help support Democrats all across the country, and ultimately defeat my Trump-loving opponent and flip the House next November. But it’s what we have to do if we’re going to make real progress on the things we care about most.
