Honoring Gold Star Families

As a husband, father and career Naval officer, I know serving our country is a sacrifice made by the whole family, especially for Gold Star Families. Last week, I joined Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) to introduce H.Res.720, the Gold Star Families Remembrance Week Resolution.  This resolution designates September 24-30th as Gold Star Families Remembrance week and honors these brave Americans. Preventing Passport Backlogs

Increased demand in passport renewals and staffing issues have created an unacceptable backlog.  That's why I cosponsored H.R. 5129, the Passport Notification Act, which requires the State Department to notify Americans six months before  their passport expires.  This would ensure a smoother renewal process and prevent future backlogs. If you are traveling abroad and need assistance with passport renewal or a visa, please feel free to contact my Lakeland office at 863-644-8215 or click here to visit my website for assistance.

"Cyber" Capture the Flag Tournament

On November 1st, our office is partnering with the Cyber Florida to host a cyber “capture the flag” (CTF) competition. Students will tackle beginner-level CTF challenges and practice problem-solving  skills during this team-oriented event. All middle and high school students are welcome to participate. Events like this one spark students' interest in cybersecurity, coding, and related fields. Constituent Corner

Greg from Polk County was newly blind and needed care at the VA. He was told he must wait until November. Greg contacted our office for help. After our inquiry to the VA, a blind rehabilitation specialist made a home visit to determine Greg’s needs. The VA then ordered the necessary equipment and secured Greg a spot at the Blind Rehabilitation Center in West Palm Beach. If you or someone you know needs help with the VA we can help!
