Earlier this year, I signed critical gun safety legislation into law and was then immediately sued by the NRA. While that’s something our administration considers a badge of honor, we must take this threat seriously. The NRA doesn't just want to stop the work I’m doing in Maryland: they want to stop gun safety legislation altogether.
We can’t let them.

And I’m in good company. Across the country, Democratic governors like Gretchen Whitmer and Tim Walz have signed legislation to improve public safety. And on the federal level, President Biden has signed the most significant gun violence reduction measure in nearly 30 years.
