Lauren continues to show us every day that she’s in Congress to fight for us. It’s even in her name!

L is for Leader:
Lauren is a trailblazer, she leads by doing what she knows is right no matter the range or extent of the challenges we face. She’s leading the way to expand affordable health care access and lower prescription costs, and spearheading the critical movement to address the Black maternal health crisis.

A is for Accomplished:
Lauren has accomplished so much in just a handful of years. She’s had 14 pieces of legislation signed into law under two different administrations — including lifesaving legislation to lower the cost of insulin, the Health Care Affordability Act to lower health insurance costs and premiums, and the Protecting Moms Who Served Act to improve maternal health care for our veterans and help save moms' lives.

U is for Unmatched:
Lauren’s record is unmatched. She holds a spot in history (and our hearts) as the youngest Black woman ever to serve in Congress. She also became the first Black woman elected to Democratic House leadership in over 30 years.

R is for Real:
Lauren has made it a point to ensure we run a real campaign that’s for and by the people. She is committed to ensuring our grassroots movement gets real-time news and updates straight up, no fillers.

E is for Effective:
Lauren’s been named one of the most effective members of Congress which was recently recognized by Congressional Management Foundation (CMF) presenting her with the Democracy Award for Constituent Service for going "above and beyond" to support constituent needs.

N is for Needed:
We need Lauren and other leaders like her in Washington, bringing her own folding chair, unbought and unbossed, and looking out for the hardworking folks in IL-14 and across the country.
