States with strict abortion bans are facing worsening health care provider and specialist shortages. PRH Fellow and maternal-fetal specialist Dr. Leilah Zahedi-Spung tells MSNBC why she decided to move out of Tennessee post-Dobbs.

Abortions Have Increased Significantly in States That Border Those With Bans, New Analysis Finds

States where abortion is accessible post-Dobbs are recording significant increases in abortion care, especially in those that border states with near or total bans. PRH President & CEO Dr. Jamila Perritt tells CNN the bans are forcing people to seek abortion wherever they can, including widespread travel or self-managing their abortion.

Florida Supreme Court Signals Openness to Abortion Ban that Would Slash Access

As the Florida Supreme Court hears a case that that could severely restrict abortion in the state, PRH Fellow and Jacksonville provider Dr. Kanthi Dhaduvai tells The Guardian about how Florida has become a critical access point in the southeast post-Dobbs with patients traveling far distances to get care.

In the post-Dobbs landscape, there has been an increase in public discussions about self-managed abortion, which refers to someone ending their pregnancy on their own outside of the formal medical system, either in part or in whole.

Adrienne Ramcharan, PRH's Assistant Director of State Policy, shares an overview of the  research, safety, and support for self-managed abortion using the medications mifepristone and misoprostol, as well as the criminal risks.
